COVID-19 information. Dr. Dawn is fully vaccinated and will not provide services if sick. Dr. Dawn will come in close contact with you if you wish to be close to your pet during his or her time of passing. She will wear a mask while in your home and respects your decision if you choose not to do so. It’s your home and you should be comfortable during this difficult time. Home euthanasia ensures that your pet will receive loving, gentle care during this difficult time. At home, your pet will be comfortable in their favorite space in or outside of your home. You, as the loving pet parent, will also be more comfortable at home and will not have to struggle with transportation at this difficult time. This provides you the freedom to honor the life you and your pet shared together in the way that you prefer.
When Is It Time To Consider Euthanasia?
One of the most difficult decisions for pet families is knowing when to let go of their faithful friend. Some of our pets don’t give us much time. They can become very sick very quickly. Other pets will hide their illness until keeping it from us is no longer possible. Then there are those pets who surprise us all by living with a terminal illness for much longer than their families or their doctors ever expected. Having a sick pet can be full of ups and downs–good days and bad.
